I bought this ‘fat eighths’ bundle of Sweetwater’s Road 15 fabric a couple of years ago. Sweetwater bundles are my kryptonite. I go weak at the knees with each new collection, and I’m breathless until I own some. Wait. Maybe it’s like reverse kryptonite. I need it to survive! I digress…
The perfect project came along for me to bust into this little bundle without having a panic attack. Enter the 2017 Swoonalong! Using any one of Thimble Blossom’s Swoon patterns, bloggers, instagrammers, and quilters everywhere are making swoon projects and sharing with the #swoonalong.
Now, before I really get going, it’s time for the obligatory pre-de-bundlifying photoshoot. Isn’t she so pretty?! I can’t wait to see how this quilt turns out.
It’s been pretty cold around here in south western Idaho. This winter has been a snowy one. It’s broken all kinds of local snow records. This is the most accumulation and snow days this region has had since records began in 1940! At one point, the snow was up to my knees as I trooped through the back yard to get some snow pics.
We’ve had quite a few robins pillaging around our garden. I love watching them swoop and hop around amongst the snow. They’re definitely a different looking species here in Idaho than I’m used to seeing in the UK. Somehow British Robins are just cuter!
